    The buttons were from Belmont Park 24 years ago on Belmont Stakes Day as a promotion for The DAILY RACING FORM and the postcard was given out at Belmont Park by its sponsor VISA on this same Belmont Stakes day 1997
    MINT unused 1997 TRIPLE CROWN POSTCARD with a great photo of HALL OF FAME Horse SILVER CHARM winning the Kentucky Derby and a 2nd photo of SILVER CHARM winning the Preakness on this large 5" by 7" postcard. HALL OF FAME JOCKEY GARY STEVENS aboard SILVER CHARM.
    The back of the postcard has the names listed of all the 11 triple Crown winners.
    HALL OF FAME TRAINER BOB BAFFERT was making his first attempt at winning The Triple Crown on this day but SILVER CHARM missed winning The Belmont Stakes by just 3/4 length.
    18 years latter BOB BAFFERT would WIN THE TRIPLE CROWN with AMERICAN PHAROAH in 2015 and WON THE TRIPLE CROWN again in 2018 with UNDEFEATED SUPER HORSE JUSTIFY!

    This was AMERICAN PHAROAH Hall of Fame Trainer BOB BAFFERT'S first attempt at the Triple Crown. BOB BAFFERT WON THE TRIPLE CROWN with the Horse he trained, AMERICAN PHAROAH in 2015 and again in 2018 with JUSTIFY!
