    Description

    Identification IMP: Crighton is inked on reverse. Crighton, by Clieveden, out of Ghinni Ghinni by Barbarian was foaled 1889 and bred by James Lee of New South Wales. Crighton was imported in 1894 and owned by A.B. Spreckels of San Francisco, CA.
    Photograph came with a number of horse racing items that belonged to Walter S. Vosburgh, an original member of The Jockey Club, turf historian ( author of American Racing, 1866-1921 ), official handicapper for various racing associations, including New York race tracks from 1894-1934 and for whom the Vosburgh Stakes at Belmont Park are named.
