    Description

    Measures 6 x 4 3/4 inches with card covers, front cover illustration of Roxana and Her Foal ( later named Blarneystone), 34 pages, with content including race descriptions, information for owners and trainers, course records, etc.
    Includes the nominations for The Ardsley Handicap and lists  Seabiscuit who would win that race. Nominations are also listed for The Scarsdale Handicap, which would be won by Psychic Bid ( and by Seabiscuit the following year).
    From a number of horse racing items that belonged to Walter S. Vosburgh, an original member of The Jockey Club, turf historian ( author of American Racing, 1866-1921 ), official handicapper for various racing associations, including New York race tracks from 1894-1934 and for whom the Vosburgh Stakes at Belmont Park are named.
